DokusanDesk

DokusanDesk is a scheduling and queue-management app for Zen/Chan centers to run dokusan (private interviews) and practice meetings smoothly. It replaces whiteboards, sticky notes, and ad‑hoc texting with a simple check-in flow: students join the queue, the teacher sees who’s waiting, and attendants manage priority rules (newcomers, sesshin days, time limits). The app logs basic metadata (date, teacher, duration) without storing sensitive conversation content, and can optionally track practice commitments (precepts, koan curriculum stage) at a high level. It supports multi-teacher events, recurring sesshin templates, and privacy-first roles so only authorized staff can see names. This is not glamorous, but it targets a real operational headache that every active center repeatedly faces, especially during retreats when mistakes create friction and wasted time.
