Doomsdayr
Doomsdayr is a mobile app (iOS/Android) plus optional browser extension that detects doomscrolling patterns in real time and interrupts them with short, friction-based “pattern breaks.” Instead of generic timers, it watches signals like rapid app switching, late-night sessions, repeated refreshes, and endless short-form video loops. When the pattern matches your personal doomscroll signature, it triggers a configurable intervention: grayscale + forced pause, a 20-second breathing countdown, a single-question check-in (“What are you looking for?”), or a hard lock with an emergency bypass that costs you (e.g., donating $1 to a cause you dislike). You get a weekly “Doom Report” showing triggers (time, mood, content type), relapse windows, and what interventions actually worked. It’s not therapy; it’s behavior design with accountability. The goal is fewer spirals, not perfect abstinence.
