DormFix

DormFix is a mobile + web app that helps student tenants document, submit, and relentlessly track maintenance issues with receipts-grade evidence. Students log a problem (leak, mold, broken heat), attach time-stamped photos/video, and the app generates a clean, jurisdiction-aware request letter and a follow-up schedule. It creates a shared timeline for roommates, flags safety-critical issues, and stores all communications in one place so nothing “gets lost.” If the landlord/property manager doesn’t respond, DormFix escalates with automated reminders, optional certified-mail templates, and a “move-out proof pack” to reduce deposit disputes. This is not a magic legal shield: it won’t force repairs. But it will make students organized, persistent, and harder to ignore, which is often what actually moves the needle in student housing.
