DoseBuddy
DoseBuddy is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that provides clear, legally cautious, step-by-step overdose guidance for bystanders, caregivers, and frontline staff. It works offline and uses a simple decision tree to cover common scenarios (opioids, benzos, stimulants, alcohol, mixed unknown), emphasizing calling emergency services first, rescue breathing, naloxone use basics, and post-reversal monitoring. The app includes a timed “response mode” with audible prompts (e.g., check breathing, start breaths, administer naloxone, re-dose intervals) and a one-tap script to communicate with 911 dispatch. It also offers localized Good Samaritan law summaries and a short training module with a completion card for organizations. This is a traditional app with a small AI component for plain-language Q&A that is gated behind safety disclaimers and never replaces the core protocol flow.
