DoseBuddy
DoseBuddy is a mobile app (iOS/Android) with optional web access that helps parents and caregivers give children over-the-counter and prescription medicines more safely. It converts doses using the child’s weight, flags common contraindications (e.g., duplicate acetaminophen across products), and schedules reminders with a shared caregiver log so nobody double-doses. It also stores pediatrician instructions, pharmacy labels (via scan), and a simple symptom timeline to support telehealth or urgent-care visits. This is a traditional app with light AI: OCR to read labels and a rules-based safety engine backed by reputable drug databases. It is not a diagnostic tool and should be explicit about that. The value is reducing preventable medication errors at home—an unglamorous but real problem—without pretending to replace a clinician.
