DoseBuddy
DoseBuddy is a mobile app (with an optional web portal) that helps parents and caregivers give kids’ OTC medicines safely. You scan the medicine barcode, select the child profile (age/weight), and the app calculates a conservative dose range, timing window, and maximum daily limit. It also warns about duplicate ingredients (e.g., acetaminophen across multiple cold/flu products), logs every dose with who gave it, and supports shared custody/households so double-dosing is less likely. A lightweight AI layer reads label text from photos when barcodes fail and flags confusing instructions, but the app stays strict: it won’t “guess” if key info is missing. This is not a substitute for medical advice; it’s a safety checklist and dosing log designed for real-life chaos at 2 a.m. when mistakes happen.
