DoseGuardAI is a web + on-prem desktop service that analyzes CT protocol settings and resulting image quality to recommend safer, standardized protocols per scanner model and exam type. It ingests DICOM metadata (and optionally images) from PACS, estimates patient dose metrics (CTDIvol/DLP), flags outliers, and suggests protocol adjustments aligned to ACR/IEC guidance and your site’s historical outcomes. This is an AI app plus traditional rules-based guardrails: AI detects protocol drift and image-noise trends; deterministic checks enforce hard safety limits and compliance reporting. The realistic value is operational: fewer dose outliers, faster protocol review cycles, and easier accreditation documentation. It does not “diagnose” disease, which keeps regulatory burden lower than full diagnostic AI, but it still requires careful validation, security review, and integration work. Expect slow sales cycles in hospitals; the product must prove measurable dose reduction and minimal workflow disruption.
