DrapeProof is a web + mobile app for luxury outerwear and tailoring brands to reduce costly returns by showing shoppers a realistic “drape preview” before purchase. Instead of generic size charts, it combines a quick body scan (phone camera), garment measurements, and fabric behavior presets (weight, stretch, stiffness) to simulate how a coat or blazer will hang on the customer. Brands upload spec sheets and a few standardized photos; the app outputs a fit confidence score, alteration suggestions (e.g., sleeve shorten 1.5cm), and the best size recommendation. It also generates a tailor-ready alteration ticket customers can take to partner ateliers after delivery. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for measurement logic and workflows, AI for body measurement extraction and fabric/drape estimation. It’s not magic—accuracy will vary—but even modest improvements can materially cut return rates in luxury.
