DrawdownMap
DrawdownMap is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps retirees and near-retirees choose a withdrawal strategy that won’t implode under bad sequences of returns. Users link accounts or enter balances, spending needs, Social Security/pension timing, and tax filing status. The app runs historical and Monte Carlo simulations across strategies (4% rule variants, guardrails, dynamic spending, bucket/cash wedge, bond tent, and tax-aware withdrawals across taxable/IRA/Roth). It outputs a simple “failure risk” range, expected spending path, and the specific actions to take each year (rebalance, raise/cut spending, which account to pull from). It also flags dangerous assumptions—like underestimating healthcare, ignoring RMDs, or pretending markets won’t crash early. This isn’t a robo-advisor; it’s a decision tool with clear tradeoffs and plain-English explanations.
