DriftRelay

DriftRelay is a mobile + desktop app that lets teams and event crews share files, checklists, and short messages when Wi‑Fi is congested or the internet is down. Devices automatically form a local peer-to-peer mesh over Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi Direct, then store-and-forward content so it can hop across nearby phones/laptops until it reaches the right people. It’s designed for practical, boring-but-critical workflows: distributing updated floor plans, sending safety notices, collecting incident photos, and syncing task status. Admins can pre-create “packs” (folders + forms) and set expiration times so data doesn’t linger. The app prioritizes reliability over novelty: clear delivery receipts, throttling to avoid battery drain, and simple onboarding via QR codes. It’s not trying to replace Slack; it’s a fallback layer for when normal comms fail.
