DriftVault

DriftVault is a web app that continuously verifies whether your database backups are actually restorable and still match your recovery assumptions. Instead of only checking that a backup job “succeeded,” it runs scheduled restore drills into ephemeral sandboxes, validates schema and row-count fingerprints, and measures real RTO/RPO against targets. It supports common stacks (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB) and popular storage targets (S3-compatible, Azure Blob, GCS) by connecting read-only where possible and using least-privilege credentials. The product focuses on one painful reality: teams discover broken backups during incidents, not during calm periods. DriftVault provides a simple dashboard, alerting, and an audit trail for compliance. It’s not magic—restore testing costs compute and needs careful access controls—but it turns an invisible risk into a measurable, actionable routine.
