DriverSentry
DriverSentry is a desktop app (Windows-first) that monitors peripheral driver health and flags risky updates before they cause outages. It continuously inventories connected devices (USB docks, printers, scanners, audio interfaces, webcams, HID devices), tracks driver versions, and correlates changes with system instability signals (crashes, USB resets, device disconnect storms, spooler failures). When Windows Update or a vendor installer introduces a problematic driver, DriverSentry alerts the user/admin, recommends a known-good version, and offers one-click rollback with a restore-point safety net. It also generates a shareable “device + driver health report” for IT tickets, including event log snippets and reproducible steps. This is a traditional app with a light AI layer that clusters error patterns and suggests likely culprits (e.g., specific dock firmware + driver combo). Realistically, it won’t fix every hardware issue, but it will cut diagnosis time and reduce repeat incidents.
