DroughtDial
DroughtDial is a web + mobile app that helps small water utilities and municipal staff make defensible, timely drought-stage decisions using the data they already have. It pulls public hydrology signals (streamflow, reservoir levels, groundwater monitoring wells, precipitation) and combines them with a utility’s internal metrics (tank levels, production, demand, pressure zones) to generate a simple “stage recommendation” dashboard with audit trails. It’s not magic: the product focuses on configurable thresholds, clear uncertainty flags, and one-click reporting for councils and regulators. The app also includes a lightweight customer-facing page utilities can publish to explain current restrictions and expected duration, reducing inbound calls. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used for summarizing conditions, drafting notices, and anomaly explanations, while the core logic remains rules/threshold-based for trust and compliance.
