DSTGuard
DSTGuard is a web app with lightweight mobile companions that detects and prevents daylight-saving and time-zone edge-case scheduling errors before meetings go out. It connects to Google Calendar and Microsoft 365, scans upcoming events, and flags risky items: DST transition days, ambiguous local times (e.g., 1:30 AM repeated), cross-border travel windows, and participants in regions that don’t observe DST. Instead of just showing conversions, it proposes safer alternatives (e.g., “move 60 minutes later to avoid DST shift for London attendees”) and can auto-apply fixes with approval. Teams also get a “time-zone policy” layer: preferred meeting windows per region, blackout hours, and travel-aware buffers. This is not a full calendar replacement; it’s a focused reliability add-on that reduces real operational mistakes, missed calls, and embarrassing client meetings caused by time-zone quirks.
