DubBudget is a web + desktop app that helps indie filmmakers and small distributors estimate and plan localization (dubbing/subtitling) costs and schedules before they commit to sales or festival runs. You upload a script or subtitle file, pick target languages, delivery specs (broadcast, streaming, festival DCP), and the app generates a realistic budget range, timeline, and vendor-ready brief. It flags common hidden costs like M&E creation, dialogue edit, QC passes, retakes, and loudness compliance. It also tracks versions (cuts, runtimes, text revisions) so you don’t accidentally quote the wrong materials. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used to parse scripts, detect character counts/reading speed issues, and predict effort multipliers from genre, cast size, and audio complexity—while pricing logic remains transparent and editable.
