DustDevil
DustDevil is a mobile + web app for planetary-science enthusiasts, students, and outreach teams who want Mars (and eventually Moon) environmental context without digging through scattered mission pages. It aggregates public mission weather/atmospheric datasets (e.g., pressure, temperature, opacity, wind proxies where available), recent orbital imagery thumbnails, and event alerts (dust storms, seasonal changes, notable sols). Users can build simple “observation plans” like: compare opacity vs. solar power impact, or correlate dust storm reports with image visibility over time. The app includes an AI-assisted explainer that translates plots into plain language and cites the underlying dataset source links. Realistically, it won’t replace professional tools and it depends on public data availability/latency, but it can become the easiest way for non-specialists to follow Mars environmental conditions and run lightweight analyses for classes, clubs, and outreach content.
