DyeLotCheck is a mobile + web app that helps homeowners, installers, and small retailers prevent the most common (and expensive) flooring/rug mistake: buying or installing items from different dye lots or production batches that don’t match. Users scan barcodes/QR codes on packaging (or upload photos of labels), and the app extracts batch/dye-lot, SKU, size, and production date, then flags inconsistencies across a job. It generates a simple “match report” you can share with a store, contractor, or client before anything is cut or installed. For products without scannable labels, it supports manual entry with structured fields and photo evidence. This is not glamorous, but it’s practical: it reduces returns, rework, and disputes. Monetization is straightforward: subscription for installers/retailers and per-report for homeowners doing one-off projects.
