EcoFieldLog

EcoFieldLog is a mobile + web app for ecologists and environmental consultants to collect standardized field observations (species, habitat, water quality, disturbance) with offline-first forms, GPS tracks, photos, and automatic metadata. It exports clean, analysis-ready datasets (CSV/GeoJSON) and generates client-ready summaries (site descriptions, effort logs, basic stats) without manual copy/paste. The AI component helps normalize messy entries (species synonyms, units, typos), flags likely errors (impossible coordinates, out-of-range values), and suggests missing required fields based on protocol. This is not a “discover nature” consumer app; it’s a practical tool for people paid to produce defensible data. The goal is to reduce time wasted on data cleaning and reporting while improving consistency across teams and projects.
