Ecomute is a mobile + web app that helps cities and employers measurably cut transport emissions by verifying how people commute and rewarding lower-carbon choices. Users connect Apple Health/Google Fit and optional transit accounts; the app classifies trips (walk, bike, bus, rail, car) and estimates CO2 saved versus a baseline. Cities or employers fund reward pools (transit credits, local business vouchers, parking cash-out) and run targeted challenges (e.g., “shift 2 commute days/week”). The hard part—fraud and inaccurate mode detection—is handled with lightweight AI plus periodic “proof moments” (QR codes at stations, Bluetooth beacons at bike rooms, or random photo prompts). Admin dashboards show verified participation, emissions impact, and cost per ton reduced. This is realistic because it ties sustainability to budgets and incentives, not just awareness.
