EcoSermon

EcoSermon is a web + mobile app for churches, mosques, synagogues, and temples that want to move environmental ethics from talk to trackable practice. Leaders pick from short, tradition-aware “action liturgies” (e.g., energy audit week, waste-free fellowship meals, climate justice giving) and assign them to groups. Members log simple actions (carpooling, home energy changes, diet shifts, volunteering), and the app estimates impact with transparent assumptions. It also provides ready-to-use sermon notes, study guides, and discussion prompts grounded in each tradition’s ethical framing (stewardship, justice, compassion, interdependence), avoiding partisan language. Admin dashboards show participation, estimated emissions avoided, and community service hours, plus printable reports for boards and donors. Realistically, the app wins only if it saves leaders time and gives congregations a clear, non-cringey way to act together.
