EcoSignal
EcoSignal is a web + mobile app that helps municipalities, NGOs, and land managers spot early signs of ecological imbalance before it becomes a headline crisis. It pulls in public data (weather extremes, stream gauges, wildfire smoke, land-cover change, water quality, species observations) and turns it into a simple “risk radar” for issues like algal blooms, pollinator decline, erosion, heat stress, and habitat fragmentation. Users set a geography (watershed, park boundary, county) and get weekly risk briefings, anomaly alerts, and a short list of likely drivers with links to the underlying datasets. It’s not a magic oracle: the app clearly labels confidence, data gaps, and what it cannot infer. The goal is to reduce time wasted hunting across portals and to support faster, defensible decisions and grant reporting.
