EdgeCanary

EdgeCanary is a web app (with lightweight CLI agents) that continuously probes your CDN/edge delivery from many regions and networks, then flags performance and correctness regressions tied to specific config changes. It runs scripted “canary journeys” (DNS resolve, TLS handshake, first byte, cache status, header integrity, image/video variants) against real URLs and synthetic endpoints. It correlates spikes with recent deploys: CDN rules, WAF changes, origin releases, DNS updates, certificate rotations, and cache purge events. The product is not a generic uptime monitor; it’s built for edge-specific failure modes like cache key mistakes, vary/header bugs, compression mismatches, geo-routing drift, and stale content. Alerts include a minimal repro: exact request, headers, region, and a diff of expected vs observed. Realistically, incumbents exist, so the wedge is faster diagnosis and edge-aware tests, not “more dashboards.”
