EdgeLease

EdgeLease is a web app (with optional lightweight agent) that helps companies monetize spare on-prem or edge capacity by turning it into a controlled, billable “mini cloud.” It provisions workloads to distributed nodes, enforces tenant isolation, tracks usage (CPU, RAM, storage, egress), and generates invoices or chargeback reports. The product is aimed at small-to-mid operators who can’t justify building a full platform like AWS Outposts or a Kubernetes distribution from scratch. It focuses on the unglamorous but real pain: capacity exists in retail, factories, campuses, and ISP POPs, but it’s hard to safely allocate, meter, and charge for it. EdgeLease provides a simple marketplace-style portal for internal teams or approved partners, policy-based placement (latency/region/power constraints), and auditable logs for compliance. Expect a narrow initial scope: container workloads only, limited regions, and opinionated defaults.
