EdgeMeter
EdgeMeter is a web app with an optional lightweight edge agent that measures the real cost and performance of running workloads on edge devices versus cloud. It captures CPU/GPU utilization, power draw (when available), network egress, latency, dropped frames/events, and uptime, then converts this into business-friendly metrics like cost per inference, cost per video stream hour, and SLA breach cost. It also flags “silent killers” at the edge: thermal throttling, unstable cellular backhaul, disk wear, and memory leaks. The product is intentionally narrow: it doesn’t deploy your apps or manage fleets end-to-end; it focuses on trustworthy measurement and reporting so teams can justify edge spend, compare hardware vendors, and decide what should run locally vs in the cloud. Expect some hardware variability and imperfect power telemetry; EdgeMeter is about directional truth, not lab-grade precision.
