ElderEcho
ElderEcho is a mobile + web AI app that helps small language communities capture fluent speakers and rapidly convert recordings into usable learning materials. Users record short conversations or wordlists, then the app auto-segments audio, generates time-aligned transcripts, and produces draft translations and beginner-friendly lessons (flashcards, dialogues, pronunciation clips). It’s built for messy real-world conditions: background noise, code-switching, and partial orthographies. The product is intentionally “good enough” rather than perfect—because waiting for perfect NLP means losing speakers. A lightweight community workflow lets a bilingual reviewer approve/repair AI outputs and publish a “micro-curriculum” in days, not months. Export options (CSV, Anki, PDF, audio packs) prevent lock-in and make it useful even if funding ends. This is not a consumer language app; it’s a documentation-to-teaching pipeline for communities and linguists.
