ElderLedger

ElderLedger is a mobile + web app for Indigenous and traditional religion communities to record, control, and selectively share oral teachings, songs, ceremonies, and lineage context without losing ownership. It provides granular permissions (by clan/role/season/initiated status), time-limited access, and “do-not-record” zones to respect sacred boundaries. The app supports offline capture for remote areas, then syncs when connected. An AI-assisted transcription/translation layer can be enabled only on-device or within a community-controlled workspace, producing searchable summaries while keeping raw media encrypted. The core value is governance: who can see what, when, and why—plus an audit trail for accountability. It also includes a simple contributor agreement workflow and takedown controls so elders can revoke access instantly. This is not a public content platform; it’s a private cultural knowledge vault built for long-term stewardship.
