ElderVault
ElderVault is a mobile + web app for recording, organizing, and governing Indigenous oral histories and cultural knowledge with strict, community-defined permissions. It supports offline-first audio/video capture, automatic transcription, and culturally appropriate access rules (e.g., gender/age/seasonal restrictions, clan-based access, takedown workflows). The core value is not “sharing,” but preventing loss while keeping control local: content can be stored in a community-owned cloud tenant or on-prem object storage for sovereignty. A lightweight AI layer helps with transcription, translation drafts, keywording, and redaction suggestions, but nothing is published without human approval. The app includes consent templates, contributor attribution, and export packages for archives or legal/land claims documentation. Realistically, sales are B2B: tribal councils, cultural centers, language programs, museums with repatriation mandates, and universities working under Indigenous data governance agreements.
