EmergScope

EmergScope is a web app (with optional desktop companion) for exploring emergence in real-world datasets—where simple local rules produce surprising global behavior. Users import event streams, network edges, or time-series data (e.g., support tickets, IoT telemetry, market microstructure, multiplayer game logs). The app builds interactive agent/network simulations that are calibrated to the data, then lets users test “what-if” interventions (change a rule, add friction, cap throughput, alter incentives) and watch macro outcomes shift. It focuses on practical questions: where do cascades start, what thresholds trigger phase changes, and which nodes or parameters have outsized leverage. It includes reproducible experiment runs, parameter sweeps, and sensitivity analysis so results aren’t just pretty animations. This is not a general-purpose BI tool; it’s a specialized sandbox for diagnosing nonlinear dynamics and preventing runaway feedback loops in operations and product systems.
