EnvDrift
EnvDrift is a web app that continuously detects and explains configuration drift across dev, staging, and production. It connects to Kubernetes clusters, Terraform state, and major cloud providers to snapshot the “effective config” (env vars, secrets metadata, Helm values, service versions, feature flags, IAM changes) and compares environments on a schedule. When drift appears, it highlights what changed, who/what changed it (CI, human, auto-scaler, GitOps), and the likely blast radius. It generates a shareable diff report for incident channels and can open a pull request suggestion to reconcile drift back to the declared source of truth. This is not a generic monitoring tool; it’s focused on the painful gap between “in Git” and “running in prod.” Expect some setup friction: it needs read-only access and careful scoping, but once connected it reduces late-night surprises.
