EnvSnap

EnvSnap is a web app plus a lightweight desktop agent that automatically captures and compares “test environment fingerprints” across CI runs and manual sessions. It records the exact versions and configs that commonly cause phantom failures: OS build, browser/driver, Docker image digests, feature flags, seeded data snapshots, API dependency health, and key config files. When a test fails, EnvSnap attaches a compact, searchable fingerprint to the failure and highlights what changed since the last passing run. It also generates a reproducible “replay recipe” (commands + artifacts) so developers can recreate the environment locally or in a disposable container. This is not a full test management suite; it’s a focused tool to reduce time wasted on ‘works on my machine’ and flaky failures caused by drift. Integrates with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, and popular test runners via simple CLI hooks.
