EpisodeBuddy is a mobile + web app that helps parents pick the “right” TV episode for kids in seconds, without endless scrolling or accidental scary content. Parents choose a show (Netflix/Disney+/YouTube Kids or local library), set constraints (max minutes, calm/energetic, no villains, no potty humor, bedtime-safe), and the app recommends specific episodes with quick reasons and parent-sourced notes. It also tracks what you’ve watched across platforms, prevents repeats, and creates simple routines like “weekday wind-down” or “Saturday morning.” This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI summarizes episode plots from allowed sources and flags likely triggers, while human/parent feedback continuously corrects it. The goal is not to replace streaming apps, but to be the decision layer that saves time and reduces conflict.
