EthicClause

EthicClause is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps small and mid-sized businesses evaluate vendor and customer contracts through a business-ethics lens. Upload a contract or paste clauses, then get a structured risk report: labor standards, privacy/data use, deceptive pricing, forced arbitration, environmental claims, conflicts of interest, and whistleblower retaliation language. It doesn’t pretend to replace lawyers; it flags issues, explains why they matter, and suggests alternative clause language aligned with common ethical frameworks and faith-informed values policies (customizable per organization). Teams can maintain an “Ethics Playbook” of approved positions (e.g., fair termination terms, transparency requirements) and generate a one-page ethics addendum for negotiations. The goal is practical: reduce reputational blowups and internal value conflicts caused by signing bad terms under time pressure.
