EthicInvert

EthicInvert is a web + mobile app (traditional app with light AI) that helps labs, classrooms, and hobby breeders run consistent invertebrate welfare checks and document care conditions in a way that stands up to scrutiny. Users set up species-specific husbandry profiles (temperature, humidity, substrate, enclosure size, diet, handling limits), then log routine observations with quick checklists and photos. The app flags risky trends (e.g., chronic low humidity, repeated failed molts, unexplained die-offs) and generates simple welfare reports for internal audits, IACUC-style reviews, or grant documentation. The AI component is intentionally narrow: it can summarize logs into a readable report and suggest likely husbandry issues based on entered parameters—no “diagnosis,” just probability-ranked hypotheses with citations/links. This is not glamorous, but it solves the boring documentation gap that causes real welfare failures and institutional headaches.
