EthicLens is a mobile + web AI app that helps wildlife photographers and ecotourists avoid unethical or illegal wildlife interactions while still getting great images. It uses on-device computer vision to identify common red flags in real time (baiting cues, too-close proximity, nesting disturbance, flash-at-night risk, off-trail pressure) and then suggests safer alternatives: recommended minimum distances by species group, quieter settings, longer focal length guidance, and “wait here” vantage points. It also generates a lightweight ethics report you can attach to photos (location fuzzing, timestamp options, and a “no sensitive nesting data” toggle) to reduce poaching and harassment risks when sharing online. The app is realistic: it won’t magically find animals for you, and it won’t replace local guides. It’s a decision-support tool that reduces accidental harm and reputational blowback for creators and tour operators.
