EthicsBrief

EthicsBrief is a web app (with optional desktop uploader) that helps researchers and compliance teams produce consistent, audit-ready ethics documentation from their study materials. Users upload a protocol, consent forms, recruitment scripts, and data management plan; the app extracts key ethics-relevant elements (risk/benefit, vulnerable populations, incentives, privacy, data retention, adverse events) and generates a structured “Ethics Summary” aligned to common IRB/REC expectations. It also flags missing sections and contradictions (e.g., consent says 2 years retention, protocol says indefinite) and produces a change log between versions for resubmissions. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI drafts and checks, but users must confirm every claim with source citations to the uploaded documents. It won’t replace an IRB, but it can reduce the painful back-and-forth and prevent avoidable omissions.
