EventHitch is a mobile + web app that organizes ride sharing specifically around ticketed events (concerts, games, festivals, conferences). Instead of generic “go anywhere” matching, it anchors carpools to a verified event, venue geofences, and time windows, making coordination simpler and safer. Riders join an event page, set their pickup zone, and match with drivers who have similar arrival/departure times. Drivers can offset parking and fuel via fixed per-seat contributions, with clear rules on cancellations and no-shows. The app can integrate with ticket emails or calendar invites to auto-create trips and reminders. It’s not trying to replace Uber/Lyft for on-demand rides; it’s for planned, high-friction trips where parking is expensive and traffic is brutal. Expect slower growth than mainstream ride-hailing, but higher intent and better repeat usage around venues and seasons.
