ExoticRecall is a mobile + web app that monitors drug, supplement, and husbandry-product recalls relevant to exotic species (reptiles, birds, small mammals, amphibians). Clinics and serious keepers often learn about recalls late—especially for niche brands, imported products, or lot-specific issues—because alerts are scattered across regulators, manufacturer sites, and distributor emails. The app aggregates recall sources, normalizes product names/SKUs, and lets users match recalls to their on-hand inventory and recent patient dispensing records. It provides actionable steps: quarantine instructions, client notification templates, and documentation logs for compliance. This is a traditional app with light AI: entity matching to reconcile messy product names, OCR for invoice/label scanning, and deduplication of repeated alerts. The goal is not diagnosis; it’s operational safety and faster response when products are contaminated, mislabeled, or unsafe for certain species.
