FabLicense
FabLicense is a web app (with optional desktop CLI) that helps open-hardware teams keep licensing, attribution, and source-release obligations aligned with what they actually ship. Hardware projects routinely mix CAD files, firmware, libraries, datasheets, and vendor reference designs—then forget what must be published, when, and under which terms. FabLicense scans your repo(s) and release artifacts, builds a dependency and file-type map, and generates a practical “release checklist” for each version: what to publish (CAD, Gerbers, firmware source), what notices to include, and what cannot be relicensed. It also produces a clean attribution bundle and a public-facing compliance page you can link in product docs. This is not legal advice; it’s a workflow tool to reduce accidental non-compliance and community backlash.
