FailMap

FailMap is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that forces teams and solo builders to run a structured pre-mortem before committing time and money. You define a goal, timeline, and constraints, then the app walks you through failure scenarios across common categories (scope, adoption, pricing, operations, compliance, dependencies). It converts each “we failed because…” into testable assumptions, assigns an owner, and schedules the smallest validation task (customer calls, landing-page test, prototype demo, vendor quote). An AI assistant helps draft failure modes and suggests validation experiments, but the user must approve everything—no vague brainstorming. Progress is tracked as a “risk burn-down” with evidence links (notes, call recordings, screenshots). The output is a one-page decision memo: proceed, pivot, or kill—so you stop funding doomed plans out of inertia.
