FailoverIQ

FailoverIQ is a web app (with optional CLI agent) that continuously and safely tests cloud database failover and recovery paths in realistic conditions. Teams think they have HA because a checkbox is enabled, but the real failure modes are DNS/connection string behavior, app retry logic, read/write split mistakes, IAM/secret rotation, and cross-region lag. FailoverIQ runs scheduled “game day” drills against replicas or ephemeral clones, injects controlled faults, and measures RTO/RPO, error rates, and client reconnection time. It generates a clear report you can hand to leadership and auditors, plus actionable fixes (e.g., connection pool settings, driver timeouts, proxy configuration). It supports common managed databases first (PostgreSQL/MySQL on AWS RDS/Aurora) and expands to others after product-market fit. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for orchestration/measurement, AI for root-cause summaries and remediation playbooks.
