FailoverMap

FailoverMap is a web app (with optional desktop agent) that builds a living dependency map of your data center services—power chain, network paths, storage, virtualization, DNS/DHCP, and critical apps—then simulates “what-if” failures and maintenance actions. It ingests configs and telemetry from common sources (e.g., SNMP, NetBox exports, vCenter, switch configs) and lets operators run pre-change impact checks: “If I drain this host” or “If this PDU trips,” what customer-facing services go dark and what redundancy actually exists? The output is a clear blast-radius report, annotated with confidence levels and missing data warnings. It also generates change-plan checklists and rollback steps based on detected dependencies. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional graph modeling plus AI-assisted parsing of messy configs and runbooks. Reality check: it will only be trusted if it’s accurate; MVP must focus on a narrow, high-signal set of integrations.
