Fairlane
Fairlane is a mobile + web app that helps people and small teams detect likely traffic discrimination (throttling, blocking, or paid prioritization signals) using standardized, repeatable tests. Users run short “scenarios” (video streaming, VoIP, gaming, VPN, large downloads) across times of day and networks, and the app compares results against control endpoints and known-good baselines. It generates a plain-English report with charts, raw logs, and a confidence score, designed to be credible to regulators, journalists, and ISP support escalations. The product is realistic about limits: it can’t prove intent, only patterns consistent with discrimination. A community dataset (opt-in, privacy-preserving) highlights regional anomalies and ISP-by-service trends. Monetization is freemium: free personal tests, paid “evidence packs” and team dashboards for advocacy groups, universities, and IT consultants.
