FairSpend

FairSpend is a mobile + web AI app that connects to your bank/credit cards and classifies merchants by social-justice risk and impact (labor issues, discriminatory practices, union busting, political donations, supply-chain controversies). It then gives you a weekly “spend footprint” report, safer alternatives nearby/online, and one-click actions like emailing a company, switching to a vetted alternative, or donating the “difference” to aligned nonprofits. The app is brutally pragmatic: it won’t pretend every purchase can be ethical, and it will flag low-confidence ratings clearly. Users can set personal values weights (e.g., racial justice, worker rights, climate, LGBTQ+ safety) and get a score that reflects their priorities rather than a single moral ranking. A lightweight community layer lets local organizers publish vetted lists and campaigns, but the core value is personal visibility and easy switching, not virtue signaling.
