FairSplit

FairSplit is a mobile + web app that helps cohabiting couples run shared finances without turning every purchase into an argument. It combines a simple joint ledger with rules you set together: split rent 50/50, groceries proportional to income, and one-off purchases tagged as “mine,” “yours,” or “shared.” Users connect bank accounts to auto-categorize transactions, then review a weekly “needs attention” queue to confirm what’s shared. The app generates a clean monthly settlement (who owes what), supports one-tap payments, and stores receipts and notes for disputed items. It also includes lightweight “agreement templates” (not legal advice) to document expectations around bills, chores, and move-out scenarios. The goal is less tracking, fewer surprises, and faster resolution when things get tense.
