FareReceipt

FareReceipt is a mobile + web app that turns messy public-transit spending into clean, reimbursable expense reports. It automatically detects and categorizes transit fares from bank/credit card transactions, transit wallet top-ups, and emailed receipts, then generates employer-ready reports by date, project, and policy. Users can tag trips to clients or cost centers in seconds, attach proof when required, and export to common formats (PDF/CSV) or push to accounting/expense tools. This is not a magic “every city, every agency” fare tracker—coverage depends on what data sources you connect and whether your transit system issues usable receipts. The MVP focuses on being reliable for commuters who pay with cards and need reimbursement, rather than trying to integrate deeply with every transit agency’s fare system. The value is time saved and fewer rejected claims.
