FareSplit

FareSplit helps groups share public-transit costs when one person buys the pass or loads a card for everyone (families, roommates, clubs, tour groups). Users create a group, add members, and log trips by scanning a QR receipt, importing a card top-up, or manually entering rides. The app calculates each person’s share using simple rules (equal split, per-ride, peak/off-peak weighting, or child discounts) and generates a clean settlement summary. It supports reminders, partial payments, and exports for reimbursements. This is not a magic “cheaper fares” app—its value is removing the friction and resentment that comes from informal tracking. Monetization is realistic: a small subscription for groups, and a lightweight B2B plan for organizations that reimburse transit (nonprofits, schools, small employers).
