FarmLot

FarmLot is a mobile + web app that helps shoppers and small food businesses buy fresher produce by tracking “lot-level” freshness signals. Users scan a receipt or a simple QR you print on your own produce stickers, then log where it was bought, the packed/harvest date if known, and quick condition notes (firmness, bruising, smell). The app builds a store-by-store and supplier-by-supplier freshness scorecard over time, showing which locations consistently sell longer-lasting berries, greens, and avocados. It also gives realistic shelf-life estimates based on your home storage (fridge temp, crisper setting) and warns you when a batch is likely to turn. This is not magic: it won’t perfectly predict ripeness, but it will reliably highlight patterns—like one store’s strawberries lasting 2 days vs. another’s lasting 5.
