FastGuard

FastGuard is a mobile app (with an optional web dashboard) that helps intermittent fasters avoid common, risky mistakes—especially around medications, supplements, electrolytes, and underlying conditions. Most fasting apps are glorified timers; this one focuses on safety and adherence. Users set their fasting style, goals, and a simple health profile (e.g., diabetes meds, blood pressure meds, history of eating disorders, pregnancy). The app then flags red-flag combinations, suggests safer fasting windows, and provides practical “what to do now” checklists when symptoms hit (dizziness, headaches, palpitations). It includes a lightweight symptom log and trend view to show what patterns correlate with breaking fasts or feeling unwell. It’s an AI + traditional app: AI generates personalized guidance and plain-language explanations, but hard safety rules are deterministic and conservative. This won’t replace a doctor; it reduces preventable screw-ups.
