FaultBrief is a mobile + web app that turns raw tectonic data into short, credible daily briefings for people who actually need to stay informed. It pulls near-real-time earthquake catalogs, focal mechanisms, and deformation signals (where available), then summarizes what changed in your regions of interest: notable swarms, aftershock sequences, unusual depth patterns, and potential fault involvement. It’s not a prediction app and it won’t pretend to forecast earthquakes; instead it focuses on situational awareness and clear explanations with links to the underlying sources. Users can set watch areas (home, projects, field sites), choose alert thresholds, and generate shareable incident summaries for teams. A lightweight “context layer” explains local plate boundary type, mapped faults, and historical seismicity so non-specialists can understand why an event matters without drowning in academic papers.
