FaultLens

FaultLens is a mobile + web app that turns a user’s exact location into a practical, building-level earthquake and volcanic ashfall readiness plan. It pulls official hazard layers (fault proximity, soil amplification, liquefaction, ashfall probability where available) and converts them into plain-language actions: what to secure first, what supplies matter for that hazard, and a prioritized checklist by room. Users can store multiple addresses (home, school, office), attach photos of shelves/water heaters, and get a risk score with “highest ROI fixes” under $50, $200, and $1,000. During events, it switches to a low-bandwidth mode with cached maps, a family check-in workflow, and local guidance links from official agencies. It’s not a prediction app; it’s a decision app that reduces damage and confusion using verified data and simple steps.
